About Ludwig
For decades, I collected art long before I began creating images myself. At the same time, I built and led international businesses, moving between different countries, industries and ideas.
AIDA.gallery grew out of both: a long engagement with art, and a continuing curiosity about how images can be developed, changed and reimagined.
AIDA.gallery is where I keep the ones I still want to look at.

How I work
I usually begin with an idea, a mood or a visual direction. From there, I explore variations, make selections and continue refining the image. The process is deliberately open: the final work may stay close to the original idea, or move far away from it as new possibilities emerge.
What matters is not preserving the first concept, but recognising when the image has become interesting enough to pursue. The final work is then carefully refined and finished.
Generative AI is part of this process and is used as a creative tool for exploration and image development.
03
The work
The works shown here move between psychological figuration, imagined worlds and abstraction. Some are quiet, some uncomfortable, some deliberately beautiful, and others remain unresolved.
I am particularly drawn to images that hold a degree of tension — between attraction and unease, clarity and ambiguity, control and accident.
