Box-Frame

Our frames are crafted from solid ash wood, precision-milled and hand-stained by our team before being finished with a special wax treatment that enhances the natural grain of the wood. They are available in White, Black, and Natural Wood finishes. For custom orders, additional colors can be produced at no extra charge.

The frame features a box profile measuring 20 mm (0.8 inch) on the front face and 33 mm (1.3 inches) in depth from the wall.

Each frame can be ordered with or without a mat (mount). Glazing is provided with low-reflection acrylic (Perspex®), which showcases the artwork beautifully while being lighter and more shatter-resistant than traditional glass.

Please note that the stated frame size refers to the glass size, not the outside dimensions of the frame. For example, a 40 × 60 cm (16 × 24 inch) print fits a frame with a 40 × 60 cm glazing area, while the external dimensions of the finished frame will be approximately 24–28 mm (about 1 inch) larger overall.

Mat Options

We also offer paper prints with a mat (mount). A 40 × 60 cm (16 × 24 inch) print ordered without a mat fits exactly into a 40 × 60 cm frame. When a mat is selected, the visible image area becomes smaller so that the artwork fits behind the mat opening.

The mat board is 2.4 mm (0.09 inch) thick and features a border width of 5.08 cm (2 inches) on each side, reducing the visible image dimensions by a total of 10.16 cm (4 inches).

Please pay particular attention to this when choosing smaller sizes, as the reduced image area can noticeably affect both the visible dimensions and the apparent proportions of the artwork.
